A talk on helping new beekeepers start up in urban environments.

The talk will include location selection, equipment choice, purchasing bees, an introduction to local and national associations, the legality of keeping bees, the difference between urban and rural beekeeping, the costs associated with the hobby and a walkthrough of the first year and what to expect.
