The Singularity: dance, digital ethics and datavis coding workshop
A workshop from EMF 2018 by Genevieve Smith-Nunes
On Sunday September 2, 2018 at – in Workshop 2
Create a live dance performance using brainwave data and coding! A 1.5 hour workshop using scratch and OSC data (prerecorded) from the EEG emotiv headset. The participants will manipulate the data to create their own data visualisations in Scratch v3 (due to be released Aug 2018) or Music using Sonic Pi. We will focus on creativity, play, and community with the underlying theme of digital ethics. Each participant will be given the opportunity to wear the headset and see their own data by signing a disclaimer during the workshop [explain why]. We will take the visualisations created during the workshops and combine these into a short live performance to end the workshop.
